Pensacola Bay Brewery Beer Dinner

On Thursday, April 17th, the Hilton on Pensacola Beach teams up with our own Pensacola Bay Brewery to hold their annual beer dinner. You can't beat this combination of great beer, food, and a beautiful location. Tickets are only $46 plus tax but you can also win tickets for two to the dinner.

Official Event Flyer Chef Dan Dunn has planned some great courses to pair with these local brews:

• Crispy fried duck livers with wing sauce / Pork dumplings with ponzu - Paired with Desoto (Berliner Weisse Ale brewed with raspberries)

• Grilled pizza with pesto and fresh mozzarella / Arugula topped with Fois Gras and clams - Paired with Deluna (German Style Kolsch)

• Brisket sliders grilled with Brioche buns & Crack Sauce - Paired with Li'l Napoleon (IPA)

• Braised Bison short rib tacos with avocado Salsa Verde - Paired with Conquistador (Dopplebock)

• Irish Car ‘Bomb’ filled with Bailey’s Irish Cream Mousse & topped with Gaoneson Chocolate Ganache - Paired with Blackbeard (Stout)

Pensacola Bay Brewery 3rd Anniversary Party

Pensacola Bay Brewery will be celebrating their 3rd anniversary this Sunday, November 17th. They posted the following description of the event on their Facebook page:

Come join us Sunday, November 17, as we celebrate our 3rd year anniversary. We are throwing an all-day party, with friends, neighbors, and colleagues. There will food provided by Chef Dan Dunn, and live music throughout the day by Brooks, Michael Lockwood, The Davenports, Damien Louviere, and Betsey Badwater just to name a few... We look forward to seeing everyone there!!!

Pensacola Bay Brewery Beer Dinner on Pensacola Beach

The Pensacola Bay Hilton will be hosting a Beer Paring Dinner featuring Pensacola Bay Brewery on Friday April 19th at 6:30 pm. The event will take place at the Pergola on Hilton's beachfront pool deck and tickets are $35 per person.

Chef Dan Dunn, along with the crew from H2O Restaurant will be preparing the 5-course dinner and pairing it with brews from Pensacola Bay Brewery, recent winners of six medals at the 2013 Best Florida Beer Championships (BFBC).

• Grilled Duck Quesadillas / Li'l Napoleon IPA (BFBC Silver medal)

• Drunken Shrimp / Deluna German Style Kolsch (BFBC Gold medal)

• Grilled Kalbi Short Ribs / Pensacola Bay's Extra Special Bitter(ESB)

• Grilled Flat Iron Steak / Blackbeard Stout (BFBC Gold medal)

• Grilled Banana Bread / Conquistador Doppelbock

Hopjacks' Dogfish Head Beer dinner last month was a very enjoyable event. A beer dinner with our own local brewery is a don't miss event, so lets show local venues that Pensacola is ready and able to support these type events.

2013 Best Florida Beer Championships

The 2013 Best Florida Beer Championships (BFBC) were held this February and our local breweries made an impressive showing. Pensacola Bay Brewery, Props Brewery, and McGuires (Destin) all participated in the competition and each brewery brought home multiple medals:

The BFBC also held a Homebrew competition and our local homebrew club, Escambia Bay Homebrewers, showed that homebrewing is alive and well in the Pensacola area winning three 1st, one 2nd, and two 3rd place awards. Overall Escambia Bay Homebrewers finished an impressive 6th among the 18 Florida homebrew clubs that competed. The detailed results for the homebrew competition can be found here.

PBBrew Dinner at Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front on April 20

This Friday, April 20th, Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front will host a Pensacola Bay Brewery Dinner. Pensacola Bay Breweries President, Elliot Eckland, and Beer Master, Mark Robertson, will be on-site to introduce their beers. Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front Executive Chef, Dan Dunn, will also be present to discuss the dinner.

The five-course meal begins at 6:30 under the pergola on the Hilton’s beachfront pool deck and is $35 per person. For reservations call 850-343-6791.

Dinner menu will include:

• Grilled gourmet sausages
• Fresh-made grilled pizzas
• Sliders
• Taco pastor's with pineapple
• Dessert

Pensacola Bay Brewery Starts St. Patrick's Day Celebration Early

Pensacola Bay Brewery is holding a pre-St. Patrick's Day celebration next Thursday, March 15^th beginning at 7:00 p.m. Not only will there be great local craft beer (what would you expect, it's being held in PBBrew's taproom) but A Drunker Shade of Green will be providing the mandatory Irish music. What more could you ask for?

ADSOG promises to play all the traditional Celtic favorites plus contemporary Irish rock such as The Pogues and Dropkick Murphy's. For a musical preview, here is ADSOG playing the appropriately beer related song "Craic and the Porter Black".

So get over to Pensacola Bay Brewery Thursday night and celebrate both local craft beer and St. Patrick's Day!

Pensacola Bay Brewery Wins Big at 2012 Best Florida Beer Championship

Pensacola Bay Brewery entered nine beers into the 2012 Best Florida Beer Championships and every single beer won a medal. Not only did the Lighthouse Porter win a gold medal but it was also voted 2nd Best Beer in the State of Florida!

Gold Medals:

• Lighthouse Porter
• Li'l Napoleon IPA

Silver Medals:

• Banyan Brown Ale
• 1845 Pilsner
