Ye Olde Brothers Brewery Visit and Upcoming Belgian Beer Pairing

During American Craft Beer Week (ACBW) we finally checked out Ye Olde Brothers Brewery (YOBB) in Navarre. YOBB opened in March 2015 and started brewing their own beer that July.

Since this was our first chance to try their beer, we sat at the bar and all ordered a flight of beers. The bartender was extremely friendly and helpful and I enjoyed every single beer in my flight. I chose all YOBB offerings for my flight but it was nice to see that they included options from other local breweries (Pensacola Bay Brewery and Grayton Beer Company at the time of our visit) as well. My flight included:

  • Black Bear Honey Wheat
  • Ol' Blue Belgian Pale Ale
  • Honey Badger Belgian Blonde
  • Boondock Maibock
  • East Bay IPA
  • Pandhandle Porter

As mentioned, all were enjoyable beers but my favorite was tied between the Honey Badger Belgium Blonde and Panhandle Porter. We already had plans for dinner that night so we didn't order any food but just watching the pizzas come out from the brick-oven, which you have a great view of when sitting at the bar, was enough to ensure that we will be back to try the food soon.

We highly recommend checking out YOBB if your in the Navarre area or even making a quick day-trip from Pensacola specifically to check it out. Also, YOBB will be holding a Belgian Beer Pairing on Tuesday, June 14th. Tickets are $35 for the four course dinner and each course will be paired with a different Belgian Beer.
