Atlas Announces Next Five Beer Classes

A month ago we covered the first in a series of six Beer Classes held by Atlas Oyster House in conjunction with the Lewis Bear Company. Each class, held every first Thursday monthly through June, features a tasting of three craft beers along with an informative presentation from a noted brewery.

The second class takes place this Thursday, February 7th. The topic is Ales Vs. Lagers and Capital Brewery out of Middleton, Wisconsin is the featured guest.

The topic and featured brewery for the remaining classes have been announced:

Thursday March 7th
Featured Brewery: Bayou Teche Brewery
Class Topic: Hops and Barley

Thursday April 4th
Featured Brewery: Victory Brewery Company
Class Topic: Firkins and Yeast

Thursday May 2nd
Featured Brewery: Craft Brew Alliance
Class Topic: Beer Glassware and Serving Techniques

Thursday June 6th
Featured Brewery: Pensacola Bay Brewery
Class Topic: Food and Beer Pairing

Attendees can also expect pop quizzes with T-shirts, glassware, and gift certificates as prizes.

Those that complete all classes will be invited to a 'meet and greet' with a brewmaster on the Deck Bar along with complimentary appetizers and beer shots. If you've missed any classes, tickets can be purchases for $25 per person.

Two classes are held each night lasting an hour. The first begins promptly at 5:30 pm and ends at 6:30 pm. The second starts at 7:00 pm and ends at 8:00 pm. The cost is 10 dollars per person per class.
