Fairhope Brewing Company Grand Opening
/
Fairhope Brewing Company held their long awaited Grand Opening this past Saturday. After a recent visit we made sure not to miss it. We arrived at 4 pm and the line was already out the door but moved quickly.
Once inside we were met with an enthusiastic and thirsty crowd.
After claiming a table I went straight to the bar to order our first beers from managing parter Brian Kane. I congratulated him on the Grand Opening.
Our first beers were a Painted Black IPA and an Imperial Honey Wheat Ale (part of the brewery's Jubilee Series). Later we enjoyed a Fairhope No. 51 and a French Quarter Porter (also part of the Jubilee Series). I hope to see the French Quarter Porter return soon.
Food was provided by two local food trucks, Cheaugee BBQ and Los Tacos, and music by Brett LaGrave kept the crowd entertained.
We left to make our way home around 5:30, and it looked like the party was just getting started. We wish we could have stayed longer, but plan on returning soon.
For more pictures check out our Fairhope Brewing Company Grand Opening set on flickr. Here's a 6 second video overview of the festivities (click the speaker icon in the upper right corner for sound). Watch closely and you'll see head brewer Dan Murphy serving beer in the courtyard.
Local Beer lovers should be thrilled to have another brewery in the area. Congratulations to Fairhope Brewing Company on a successful Grand Opening.
